Donald L. Harrison Sr. was born on December 1, 1949, in Chipley, Florida. He passed away on April 3, 2026, at Bay Medical Hospital in Panama City, Florida. Donald spent the majority of his life in the place where he was born and raised, surrounded by the community he loved.

Donald was a hardworking man who ran his own heating and air business until he retired. He enjoyed fixing things and had a skillful hand for getting things working again. Those who knew him often spoke of his great sense of humor and big heart. He was known for being a very funny man with a warm personality that made people smile. Children held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed spending time with them. Donald loved fishing, playing computer games, and cherished his quiet moments with a cup of coffee on the front porch.

He is survived by his cherished family, including his daughter, Trylene Case and her husband Eddie; his son William Harrison; and his daughter Crystalynn Harrison. Donald was also a proud grandfather to Tapanga Griffin, Caylynn Griffin, Tyler Brown, Bryce Brown, Jaxon Harrison, Christopher Case, Coralie Case, Colin Case, and Corbin Case. He had nine great-grandchildren who added joy to his life. His extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives or members who he claimed as family who will remember him fondly.

Donald was preceded in death by his father Cleveland Harrison and mother Myrtis Smith Harrison. He also followed his son Donald L. Harrison Jr., and was preceded in death by his brothers Samuel Harrison, Harold Dean Harrison, Eugene Harrison, and Wendell Harrison, along with his sisters Miriam Kelly and Rita Rainey.

A visitation to honor and remember Donald will be held on April 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, located at 1068 Main Street, Chipley, Florida.

Donald L. Harrison Sr. will be remembered as a beloved family man who lived a full life, filled with love, laughter, and kindness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
