Delena "Bug" Pettis, age 70, of Chipley passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at her home in Bonifay, FL surrounded by her loving family. Delena was born December 7, 1943 in Chipley, FL to the late Maxwell and Mable (Hall) Hudson. She has been a resident of the Bonifay area for the past 15 years and was retired from General Telephone. Bug is preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Pettis. Survivors include, three sons, Billy Ray Pettis of Spring Hope, NC, James Michael Pettis and wife Becky of Bonifay, FL, Lester Merrell Pettis and wife Susan of Creedmoor, NC, one brother, Billy Merrell Hudson of Woodstock, AL, three sisters, Mary Lynn Deal of Freeport, FL, Lola (Pug) Heisler of Chipley, FL, Luverne (Sister) Freeman, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with Reverend Dallas Pettis officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Chipley, FL with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services, beginning at 9:00 A.M.
