David "Paul" Bishop, age 73, of Vernon, FL, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital, in Chipley, FL.  He was born on July 29, 1944, in Bruce, FL to the late Madison D. and Verlie M. Rooks Bishop.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Peggy White, and husband Pete, and Janice Casey, and husband Roy; and his granddaughter, Alexandria Haddock; and brother-in-law Auburn Ward.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Whitaker Bishop; daughters: Felicia Gilley, and Donna Phillips and husband, Lee; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his wife's children, whom he loved as his own: Jason Haddock and wife, Melissa, Jeremy Haddock, Nina Haddock, and Natalie Stanton and husband, Bobby; and 8 grandchildren. Paul is also survived by his sisters: Pat Ward, Earnestine Czaplicki and husband, Richard, Teena Hartley and husband, John, Norma Cochran and husband, Harold, and Pam Herring; brother: Glenn Bishop and wife, Carol; sister-in-law: Stephanie Richardson and husband, Chad; 9 nephews; 8 nieces; and a God-given son: Charlie Haslow and wife, Crystal.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at New Bethany Assembly of God Church in Vernon, FL, with Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating.
