Darryl Eugene Dodd, age 55 of Vernon, FL, passed from this life on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Darryl was born on August 14, 1960 to the late James A. Dodd and Elsie Dodd.

He has been a resident of the Vernon area since 1996, moving from Ohio. Darryl was retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant and later worked with Trawick Construction.

Survivors include his mother, three sons, Darryl Dodd Jr. and wife Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia, Ricky Dodd and wife Mariah of Chipley, FL, Tony Dodd of Vernon, FL, one brother, James Dodd of Ohio, four sisters, Kathy Keith of Ohio, Rosie Bills of Utah, Sherry Stewart of Ohio, and Elsa Chaney of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home with Reverend Clif Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will be held at 1:00 P.M. EST, Monday, April 11, 2016 with Military Honors at Tallahassee National Cemetery.
