Daisy Maude Everett, age 80 of Grovetown, Georgia and formerly of Fountain, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her home. Daisy was born April 12, 1934 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late William and Ethel (Steele) Morris. A longtime resident of Fountain, she was formerly employed by the Bay County School System as a bus assistant for handicapped transportation. In addition to her family, she loved working in her greenhouse and her many years of active involvement with the AmVets Post 231 in Fountain. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Everett, as well as sons, Richard and James Everett. Survivors include; two daughters, Helen Lewis of Denver, Colorado and Sheila Gilbert and her husband Richard of Grovetown, Georgia; two brothers, R.B. Morris of Winchester, Tennessee and Donald Morris of Estill Springs, Tennessee; three sisters, Mary Wilkerson of Belvedere, Tennessee, Louise Hager of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Margaret Stewart of Myrtle, Missouri; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, August 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home in Chipley. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 A.M. in Fountain Cemetery in Fountain, Florida, with the Rev. Don Prosser officiating.
