Coy Russell Clewis, 70, of Ebro, Florida passed from this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Panama City, Florida. He was born on May 2, 1940 to James A. and Clara A. (Redmon) Clewis in West Bay, Fl. He was married to his wife Cleo Clewis on August 3, 1989 He worked at the Sawmill and also oystered, patched nets and shrimped. He loved to fish, worked on fishing nets and ride the roads. Had a great love for Strawberry Milkshakes. Survivors include his wife Cleo Clewis, West Bay, Florida. 1 Son: Coy Clewis Jr. and wife Pam, Leeds, Alabama. One Step Son: Olando "Junior" Ward, Pine Log Creek, Fl. Two Step Daughters: Mary Lou Byrd and husband J.C., Pine Log Creek, Fl., Lounell Sovel and her husband, James, Pine Log Creek, Fl. 1 Brother: James E. Clewis and wife Pat, Syracuse, New York, Adopted Brother: Wallace Dale Powell, Ponce de Leon, Florida. 3 Sisters: Evelyn Bozeman, West Bay, Florida, Gladys Kirkland and husband Jerome, West Bay, Florida and Betty Sue Brookins, Opp, Alabama. 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Bobby Joyce Clewis and Vernie Roughton and a Great Grandson Lucus Garrett Bartlett. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Pine Log Community Church with Rev. Rossie Bryant and Rev. Kevin Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Gunlock Cemetery, with Brown Funeral Home directing. The family will receive from 6 until 8 P.M. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Pine Log Community Church.
