Obituary

Clark Rogers, age 100 of Vernon, FL passed from this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Clark was born on December 24, 1915 to the late Daniel Buster Rogers and Mollie Grantham of Wausau, FL. He was employed by Washington County School Board as a mechanic, until his retirement. Clark was an avid hunter, and especially loved to hunt deer. He is preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Allen, Arthur, and Lewis Rogers, all of Wausau, FL. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Rogers, two sons, Dan Rogers and wife Joyce, of Lynn Haven, FL, and Will Rogers and Wanda, of Marianna, FL, one brother, Howard Rogers of Port St. Joe, FL, one sister, Marvel Taylor, or Lynn Haven, FL, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Grace and Glory church, formerly Brown Funeral Home Brickyard Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Dale Hagan officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00, prior to service. Private family burial will follow later at Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, FL is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Covenant Hospice of Marianna, FL.
