Clarence C. Moore, age 89 of Vernon, passed away Monday, June 24th in Davenport, Florida. Clarence was born October 27, 1923 in Vernon, Florida to the late James Monroe and Nancy (Collins) Moore. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a former generator operator for Agra Chemicals and was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Vernon. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Geraldine Moore. Survivors include; one son, Larry Moore of Vernon; two daughters, Mary Gipson and husband Donald of Haines City, Fla., and Nancy Robinson and husband Terry of Winter Haven, Florida; one brother, Grady Moore of Auburndale, Fla.; one sister, Inez Williamson of Pensacola, Florida; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel with the Rev. Allan English and Rev. Mike Browning officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Hard Labor Cemetery.
