Obituary
Charles Howard Shirley, age 72, passed from this life Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home. He was born in Pennsylvania on February 9, 1945 to Charles and Lona "Tester" Shirley.
Charles was in the United States Air Force for 12 years and worked as a Computer Technician for Madison City Board of Education for 23 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son; Derrick DeWayne Shirley.
Charles is survived by his wife of 44 years; Velma Janis Shirley of Huntsville, AL, two children; James Harold Clark of Monroe, GA and Carol Scott of Buford, GA, one brother; Dean Shirley of Greensboro, NC, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Mr. Shirley's funeral service will be held 2:00P.M., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Dale Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hard Labor Creek Cemetery. Visitation will held one hour prior to service. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
