Charles Peterson passed away on Sunday the 6th of December 2015. He was born in Bonifay, Florida on January 10th, 1940 to Loyd Hilton Peterson and Roxie Mae Peterson. Charles, also known as Pete, and Uncle Buddy by his close friends and relatives. He graduated from Chipley High School, Chipley Florida.

Charles dedicated his life to his family and country. He served over 45 years with the U.S. Air Force, from November 30th, 1963 to November 2, 1979 retired with 30 years total military service as a MSGT. Plus another 25+ years as a Contractor and Civil Servant employee. Charles worked for the AF Engineering and Technical Services team as Aircraft Communications Electronics and Maintenance specialized in Avionics, Radar Navigation, Flight Control Systems, and Tactical Air Warfare Control (TAC). He served in the Vietnam, and Gulf War conflicts and was the "Old Man of the War" in Operation Desert Storm during the Iraqi War.

Charles has been around the world, supported by his loving family and loyal wife. He is survived by his (Wife) Betty Peterson (maiden name Stanley), (son) Charles Peterson married to Michelle Peterson with four sons, and (daughters) Edith Andersen married to Peter Andersen with one son and step daughter and four great grandsons, Becky Ferre married to Paul Ferre with two daughters , and Alycia Hill with three daughters and one son. Four surviving sisters Janelle Walsingham married to Troy Walsingham, Joyce Park married to Ellis Park, JoAnn Riley married to Pat Riley, and Laverne Spence. Also, survived by a total of 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home with Reverend Troy Lee Walsingham officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
