Charles A. Nance, age 78 of Chipley, FL passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL surrounded by family. Mr. Nance was born on May 27, 1937 in Stockton, GA to the late Angus and Arzela (Lindsey) Nance of Chipley.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and an active member of American Veterans Post 7 in Chipley. He worked in Communications and was the owner of Nance's Restaurant in Chipley.

Charles is preceded in death by one son, Charles "Chuckie" Nance Jr., one daughter, Diane Austin and one brother, Huey Nance and wife Dolly (Borelli) Nance.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Nance of Chipley, five daughters, Mickie Lambert and husband Ted of Sun Valley, CA, Kim Burns of Tallahassee, FL, Charlotte Harrison and husband Sammy of Tallahassee, FL, Kathy Ashton of Crawfordville, FL, Lily Nolan and husband Jeremy of Lexington, KY, one sisters, Maxine Paige of Chipley, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation.
