Charles "Bo" Monroe Berry passed from this life on Thursday, April 15, 2021, after a long and
hard fought battle with cancer.
Bo was born on January 1, 1952, to Mavis (Temples) Berry and Napoleon "Broward" Berry at
Washington County Hospital in Chipley, Florida.
Aside from a short stint in Stonewall, Mississippi, Bo lived his entire life on the family farm in
Chipley, near Falling Waters State Park. He worked as a carpenter and cattle farmer. In his free
time he enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren's sports games.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Elsie "Nancy" Kirkland, Linda Faye
Partin, and Rebecca "Joan" Barrentine.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lillian (Guettler) Berry; three sons, Gabriel Berry and wife
Stacie (Austin, Isaac, Ethan and Lucas) of Chipley, Eric Berry and wife Tricia (Lauren and
Carson) of Panama City, Lance Berry and wife Sarah (Carter and Chloe) of Chipley; one
brother, Phillip "Wayne" Berry, Sr. (Beechie) of Chipley; three sisters, Gwen Cleary of Lawndale,
California, LaNelle Stanley (Bobby) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Patsy Gainer (Jack) of Chipley;
brothers-in-law, Russell Partin and Quinton Kirkland; eight grandchildren; many nieces and
nephews; and an abundance of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
The family will receive friends and family at Brown Funeral Home in Chipley from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021,
at First Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida, with Pastor Mike Orr officiating. Interment will follow
at Blue Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Bo.
