Catheryn Louise Worrell Williams, age 92, passed from this life Thursday, February 4, 2016. Catherryn was born February 7, 1924 in Parker, Washington to Anna Catheryn and George Harlan Mitchell. She was the 11th and final child born into the family.


She married Herbert R. Worrell when he came home on furlough from the Navy in March of 1944. Two daughters were born to them, Catheryn Charmaine (Chari) Hopkins (Ron) of Punta Gorda, FL and Judy Diane Creel (Phillip) of Milton, FL.


She is survived by 3 grandsons, Douglas J. Craig of Charlotte, NC, Terrence J. Craig of Chipley, FL, and Jonathan D. Creel of Los Alamos, NM., 6 great grand children and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Esther, Ada, Ruth, Beulah, Ella, June, and Bud. 3 other children died young.


Catheryn, know as Cathy to her acquaintances, was widowed in 1980. She worked for a local drugstore and then All State Insurance in Chipley until 1994 when she married Johnie B Williams.


She is survived by two stepsons, Ron Williams (Sandy) and Marc Williams (Corey), 7 step grandchildren and 3 great step grandchildren. Cathy and Johnie enjoyed travel and music in their years together where they resided south of Chipley. Cathy is survived by her husband, Johnie B. Williams now residing in Bonifay.



A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Grace Assembly of God with Reverend Dallas Pettis officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
