Carolyn Rogers, age 73, passed from this life Monday, October 26, 2015 at her home. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on March 6, 1942 to Herman and Magdalene (Jordan) Lathan. Mrs. Rogers worked as a sewing machine operator for the Warner Brothers Company and was of the Assembly of God faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Mercer Rogers, two brothers David Johnston and William Lathan, and one sister Gennylou Woods. Carolyn is survived by her son Richard Earl Rogers of Burton, AL, one daughter Carol West and husband Tommy of Wausau, FL, one brother Franklin Johnston and wife Susan of Millry, AL, one sister Mary Shirley of Waynesboro, MS, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchild. Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Christian Haven Church in Wausau, FL. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the church with the Rev. Ronnie Jean Hagan and Rev. Rodger Dale Hagan officiating. Interment will follow at Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
