Rev. Carl Edward Hodges, age 91 of Chipley, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at his home. Rev. Hodges was born May 27, 1920 in Enterprise, Alabama, to the late William and Canara Mae (Snell) Hodges. He had been a resident here since 1964, coming from Enterprise. A retired Assembly of God minister, Rev. Hodges was a former minister at Grace Assembly @ Chipley. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Vera Mae (Bell) Hodges. Survivors include; five daughters, Anne Hodges Stirling, Janice Hodges Jeter, Carol Hodges Higbee, Dianne Hodges and Rachael Hodges Curtis; two sons, David Hodges and Daniel Hodges; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Grace Assembly @ Chipley, with the Rev. Don Shoots, Dallas Pettis and Vince Spence officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley.
