Bunyan D. Hammock, age 90 of Sunny Hills, passed away Sunday, May 9th, 2010 in the Bay Medical Center. Mr. Hammock was born June 18, 1919 in Houston County, Alabama to Emmett A. and Mary Bertha (Strickland) Hammock. He had been a resident here most of his life, he was a farmer and member of the Spirit of Holiness Church in Sunny Hills. In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by a Son; Daniel Hammock. Survivors include his wife of 63 years; Carleen Hammock of Sunny Hills, four Sons: Dwain D. Hammock of Sunny Hills, Emmett A. Hammock of Sunny Hills, David B. Hammock of Sunny Hills, and Paul B. Hammock of Sunny Hills, two Daughters; Catherine E. Crick of Adairsville, Ga., and Zondria L. Hammock of Sunny Hills, twenty-two Grandchildren and thirty seven Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 12th, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Spirit of Holiness Church in Sunny Hills, funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13th, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Spirit Of Holiness Church in Sunny Hills with the Rev. Winford D. King officiating. Interment will follow in Hammock Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of the arrangements.
