Obituary
Bonnie Kate Williams, 83, of Chipley, FL, passed away on April 1, 2015 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital with her devoted husband George Williams by her side. George and Bonnie were married 63 years this March.
Bonnie or "Ms. Bon" as many people called her was born on January 5, 1932 to the late Jessie C. McDaniel and Annie Grant McDaniel. Bonnie leaves behind one son George Alan Williams and wife Susan of Chipley, FL; and one daughter Judy Williams Hayes and husband Daryle of Chipley Florida. Bonnie was a devoted grandmother of four grandchildren Celena J. Hayes of Chipley, FL,; Jesse Williams of Chipley, FL; Carly Williams of Brandon FL; Patrick Williams, his wife Corey, and their son Conner of Austin, Texas.
She leaves behind two brothers Jerry Reudon McDaniel of Mobile, AL and Ronnie McDaniel of Chipley, FL and their families. She is preceded in death by her brother Nolan McDaniel of Chipley FL; and two sisters Opal Williams of Columbus, Ga and Becky Meeks of Troy, Al.
She was a graduate of Chipley High School Class of 1952. Bonnie became a Cosmetologist and had a beauty shop next door to her home for years. She then worked as a Teller at a local bank where she eventually retired. She still enjoyed weekly visits to the beauty shop as long as she could.
Bonnie was a member of Holmes Creek Baptist Church and could often be found working in the nursery during Sunday school or singing in the church choir. Bonnie enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to their Chalet in Gatlinburg, TN each year. She loved being around family. Her feisty attitude and devotion remained with her until the end.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday, April 5th at Holmes Creak Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10am on Monday, April 6th, 2015 at Holmes Creek. Graveside service will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements provided by Brown's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations sent to Covenant Hospice Marianna, FL 4215 Kelson Ave., Marianna, Fl. 32446, Northwest Florida Community Hospital 3rd Floor Skilled Nursing Facility or Gideon's Bibles.
