Billy Ray "Diddy" Corbin, age 74 of Chipley, passed away Friday April 18, 2014 in the Bay Medical Center in Panama City. Billy Ray was born October 5, 1939 in Chipley to the late Willie Cecil and Ruby Lee (Davis) Corbin. A lifelong resident of Chipley, he had retired as a heavy equipment operator with Compass Lake In The Hills Construction. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Willie Ray Corbin, a sister, Shirley Hayes and a grandchild. Survivors include; his wife, Wanda Corbin of Chipley; one son, Scotty Corbin and wife Hope of Vernon; three daughters, Carolyn Haddock of Chipley, Teresa Downs and husband Beryl of Chipley and Lisa Davidson and husband Phillip of Chipley; four brothers, Hubert Corbin of Chipley, Ronnie Corbin of Chipley, Jimmy Corbin of Chipley and Donnie Corbin of Chipley; two sisters, Joyce Taylor of Chipley and Angelo Shouppe of Chipley; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 10 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with the Rev. Charley Chavers officiating. Interment will follow in Sapp Church Cemetery.
