Mrs. Betty Sue Strickland went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the age of 77. She was a long time resident of Ebro, Florida and member of Spring Valley Holiness Church. She was born in Walton County on February 28, 1932 to Travis and Fannie (Infinger) Bishop and raised by mama Amanda Bishop. Mrs. Strickland leaves behind a loving husband, of 59 years, Daniel Strickland and five children: daughter Brenda Anderson and husband Jerry, Daughter Glenda Hunt and husband Jerome, son Glen Strickland and wife Terri, daughter Gaile Page and husband Lamar, and son Dorty Strickland and wife Stacie. Betty Sue blessed with eight grandchildren, their spouses and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Syble Byrd, Phyllis Young, Verlon Johnson, and Merle Steele and one brother, Gaston Bishop. Mrs. Strickland was "Granny", "Mom", and "Aunt Betty Sue" to so many more. She was preceded in death by her parents, two great grandsons, three sisters, and three brothers. Family will receive family and friends at Spring Valley Holiness Church on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 5PM. Funeral services will also be conducted at Spring Valley Holiness Church on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2PM. Final resting place will be at Ebro Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Allen Seley, Carl Seley, Tony Mike Strickalnd, Thadd Byrd, Joey Byrd, and Charlie Allon. Honorary pall bearers will be Durel Evans, Gil Scott, Nathan Allon, and Sean Allon.
