Betty Sewell, age 70, of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born on May 11, 1945 in Sylacauga, AL to the late Elijah and Florene (Keith) Brown. Betty has been a resident of Chipley since 1967 coming from Sylacauga and worked as the phone operator for AT&T for 33 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Sewell, one brother, Charles Brown, one sister, Mable Brown. Survivors include, one son, Bryant Sewell and wife Melanie of Wausau, FL, one daughter, Charity Cochran and husband David of Chipley, FL, two sisters, June McGhee of Prattville, AL and Alice Edwards of Texas, six grandchildren, James Griffin, Denise Pleas, Mitchell Pleas, Andrea Pleas, Haley Cota, Christopher Cota. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Grace and Glory Church of Chipley. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace and Glory with Reverend Cloys Joiner and Reverend Danny Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery in Chipley with Brown Funeral Home directing.
