Betty Jean Merchant, age 76 of Pensacola, died Thursday, August 6th, 2009 in Pensacola. A native of Memphis, Tenn, she had been a resident of Pensacola for the past 50 years. She was a former waitress and was of Baptist Faith. Survivors include her Husband; William L. Merchant Jr. of Pensacola, One Son; Ronnie Carl Merchant of Pensacola, two Daughters: Debra Moore of Pensacola and Joni Merchant of Orlando and one Sister: Dorothy Thurmund of Memphis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. at the graveside in Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Merchant officiating. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
