Bessie K. Haynes, age 84 of Chipley, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 in the Washington County Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley. Mrs. Haynes was born May 3, 1926 in Coffee County Alabama to the late Henry and Alva Alfa (Smith) Davis. She had been a resident here for 50 years, coming from Fort Meade, Florida. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fort Meade Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Johnny Haynes. Survivors include; a sister, Cloylene Adkins of Lake Wales, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews, all living in Florida. Memorialization will be by cremation with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
