Beatrice Wood, age 93 of Wausau, died Sunday, April 4th, 2010, at her home. She was born November 24, 1916 in Obrien, Fla., to the late Lummie and Margaret Pearl (Cothron) Allen. She had been a resident here for the past 67 years, coming from Clearwater, Florida and was a retired dietitian with the Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, a former Wausau City Council member, a former school teacher, a member of the Wausau Quilting Club, The Home Demonstration Club and part-founder of the Wausau Fun Day. In addition to her Parents, she is predeceased by her Husband; W. Lee Wood, a Brother; Marvin Allen and a Sister; Irma Ezell. Survivors include one Son; Robbins Lee Wood and wife Betty of Pensacola, Fla., two Daughters; Shirley Jean Finch and Husband Carlos of Wausau, Virginia Perkins and Husband William P. of Wausau and one Brother; Jack Allen of Oceano, California, nine Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 10 A.M. in the Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. James Barwick and Rev. Carlos Finch officiating. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens with Brown Funeral Home directing, The family will receive friends Tuesday evening April 6th, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel.
