Obituary

Artie Mae Taylor, 88 of Bonifay, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2025 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley, Florida.

Artie was born on May 24, 1937 in Hahira, Georgia to Louie and Rosa (Weeks) Mims. She worked for Tampa Farm Service as the Office Manager and was of the Christian Faith.  Artie enjoyed painting, sewing & quilting, as well as studying genealogy.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars and the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.  This link is a story that Artie wrote about growing up in Lacooche, FL that she would love to share with everyone,  https://www.fivay.org/lacoochee55.html

She was preceded in death by her parents: Louie and Rosa Mims; beloved husband: D.C. Taylor.

She is survived by her children: Steve Taylor of North Liberty, Indiana, Charlotte Taylor of Sandy Springs, Georgia, Jeremy Taylor of Bonifay, Florida; brother: Louie Mims Jr. (Betty) of Lakeland, Florida; sister: Mary Ghettig of Lakeland, Florida; three grandchildren: Seth Taylor, Naomi Seefeldt, McKenzie Seefeldt; three great grandchildren: Roland Taylor, Logan Taylor and Jaxon Taylor.

Memorialization will be by cremation with Brown Funeral Home & Blue Lake Crematory of Chipley, FL in charge of arrangements.
