Annabelle (Anna) Wright, 66, of Alford, Florida was unexpectedly received into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
Anna was born on June 14, 1960 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late Ward Charles Wright Jr. and the late Nettie Ann Wright (Sommerfeld).
Anna was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A skilled carpenter, she began her career with the Broward County School Board in 1983, where her strong work ethic led to her promotion to Maintenance Supervisor. After nearly 30 years, she moved Alford, Florida, and spent 10 years as a statewide instructor with the Florida Department of Education, sharing her expertise with school districts across the state. For the past two years, she proudly served as a Project Manager with the Bay County School Board.
Anna was a beautiful, smart soul who loved her family with all her heart and worked tirelessly to provide the best for them.
She enjoyed spending time on the water or traveling. She loved her animals, especially her dogs Colt and Roarke. She looked forward to family trips to Sea World, Busch Gardens or Medieval Times. She had a passion for reading that turned into listening to audio books on repeat through her headphones. She developed a passion for cooking and baking; if you had the pleasure of tasting any of her delicious food, you had a real treat.
Anna was a dedicated, hard-working, dependable, loyal, and giving individual who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Heaven has certainly gained someone special.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Crystal Marshall (Terrell), 4 grand children, Daija Bennett, Marianna Hall (Jerron), Derrick Bennett, Lewis Marshall II, 1 great-grandchild, Kaiah Hall, 1 sister Cynthia Miller, 2 brothers Ward Wright III (Cheryl) and Karl Wright (Hope), several nieces, nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at St. Joseph the Worker in Chipley, Florida at 10:00 A.M. with a Celebration of Life to follow afterward in the church fellowship hall from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
