Allene Olivia Brunson Ball, born in Elba Alabama to Forest and Kate Brunson. She came into this world with her twin Kathleen September 22, 1920. She departed this world Dec. 26, 2010 in her ninety-first year. Allene married Nelson A. Ball, a Civil Engineer from Chipley, Fla. and they traveled the United States and the world with the Corps of Engineers. They raised three daughters Johanna Pylant, Cynthia Creque and Harriett Rosebrough. Nelson predeceased her in 1989. Allene was the proud
grandmother of six and great-grandmother of four. Allene and Nelson retired in Atlanta and for many years attended Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Allene was active in numerous ladies organizations and took great joy in her church work. The last ten years of her life, Allene lived at the Pines in Davidson, NC. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM with funeral at 2:00 on Sunday, January 2 at Raymer Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC. Allene will be interred at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley ,Fla. next to her husband on Monday, January 3, 2011. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
