Albert Huston Garrette, age 74, passed from this life Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Garrette was born in Greenhead, Florida on November 30, 1939 to Joseph Langford and Rebecca Lee (Weeks) Garrette. Huston was a self-employed mechanic for 40 years and worked at Coggin and Deermont Inc. Mr. Garrette loved fishing and was the founder of The Redneck Bass Trail Tournament. Huston went to the school of General Motors in Jacksonville, Fl. and was a lifelong resident of Washington County. Mr. Garrette was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Joseph L. Garrette. His is survived by his wife Mary Ann Garrette of Chipley, Fl. 3 sons: Tony Garrette and wife Lori of Lynn Haven, Fl., Tracy Garrette of Chipley, FL., and Johnathan Fears of Chipley, Fl. 1 daughter: Teresa Monsalvatge and husband William III of Chipley, FL. 1 sister: Frances Elane Garrette of Chipley, FL., 4 grandchildren: Kyle Monsalvatge, Travis Monsalvatge, Stephen Garrette, and Lia Schermer, and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will have private services at a later date.
